Starting with a folk legend, and following the directions of some of the inhabitants, I explored the territory around Guilmi in search of the ruins of the ancient village of Tripaldi, which is mentioned in a popular song.
Wall remains, ceramic artifacts, and bones were found to attest to the actual existence of the village.

1m3 of soil was placed at the edge of the village, from where it is possible to see the site of the ruins, and it was left to unravel over time, in dialogue with the landscape. A cubic meter of earth, of history, of memory, to bring attention back to a common territory, and to give value to the imaginary connected to the place.

The artifacts were drawn and then buried in the cube of earth.
