Passat Present Futur

2017

Performance
Dusts of soil collected in Alcover during exploration and sifted on a table.

While exploring the area of Alcover, I gathered soils and rocks of varied colours, which I then sifted on a table creating an aesthetic composition, expression of the processes of mixing between mineral and organic matter, which reunite the geological past with the present and future of a territory.

The materials come from farmlands, random areas close to the village, and from a quarry, where the matter is dug out, ground, and stockpiled waiting to be used as constructing materials for the inhabited environment.

The dust reminds of the feebleness of the environment and the continuous transformation of land and matter.
